Moving to Bryan -what should I know?

Hey, Rent is about $1,150/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $210,600 on average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Let me know your thoughts. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I've lived in Westside for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good internet infrastructure
- The public transit scene is improving

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Hope this helps!.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from San Diego about 9 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Active local events and festivals
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are established, gas is decent.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Hope this helps!.
