Raising a family in Bryans Road -thoughts?

First post here. With a population of 9,174, Bryans Road is a small town. Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a a small town city with about 9,174 people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Worth the trade-offs? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 9 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..
