Is Bryant walkable?

Hello, Born and raised here. Homes are going for about $223,400 on average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Any advice would be great. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 2 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it exceeded my expectations. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The safety scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely underrated and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Old Town) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
