Just moved to Bryn Athyn, any tips?

Crime rate is something to consider -Bryn Athyn sits at 144.4 per 100K. Poverty rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. With a population of 1,183, Bryn Athyn is a small town. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Anyone in a similar situation? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 14 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Chicago it's excellent.
