Best neighborhoods in Buckeye

Been meaning to ask this. Poverty rate is 4.9%, which is pretty low.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely better than expected and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (West) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from LA about 15 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is solid.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Hope this helps!.

Bought a house here in 2024 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Riverside for 14 years. Moved from San Francisco for school. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is pretty good. We bought in 2020 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
government is strong here. marketing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are competitive for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
the quality of life is solid. The outdoor scene is decent - we have rivers within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Riverside schools are solid. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Summers can be brutally hot. Can feel isolated. And public transit can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 5/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've lived in Eastside for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Four distinct seasons
- The food scene scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
