Hi all, We're a young couple and Crime rate is something to consider -Buckeye sits at 137.4 per 100K. Poverty rate is 4.9%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 75--F, so it's warm year-round. It's a a smaller city city with about 99,844 people. Household incomes average around $98,778 in Buckeye. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. Am I overthinking this? Thanks! Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Used to live on the Westside side, now on the Riverside side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.

I've lived in Eastside for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- The walkability scene is decent
The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. No regrets on my end..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want traffic, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Old Town. It's surprisingly good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in retail. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.
