Remote worker thinking about Buckeye

I grew up here but left for a while. Crime rate is something to consider -Buckeye sits at 137.4 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 99,844 people. Poverty rate is 4.9%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Am I wrong here? Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. Came here for weather and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The cost of living is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Miami it's average.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

Used to live on the Highland side, now on the Maple Ridge side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.
