Moving to Buda for work -advice?

So, My family moved here when I was a kid. Crime rate is something to consider -Buda sits at 110.2 per 100K. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
