I've been looking at the stats and Buena Park shows relatively low crime stats. But stats don't always tell the full story. For people who actually live there — do you feel safe? Are there areas to avoid?
I'm especially interested in hearing from retirees.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Lakewood and Downtown are perfectly safe.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Pine Grove. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.
