How much do you pay for rent in Buffalo?

Anyone else feel this way? I work in media and Crime rate is something to consider — Buffalo sits at 990.7 per 100K. Median household income is $48,050, which feels on the lower side for the area. Poverty rate is 22.3%, which is higher than I expected. Household incomes average around $48,050 in Buffalo. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Is this normal for Buffalo? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 12 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is nightlife. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..
