Curious what people think. You can expect to pay around $1,451 for rent here. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What neighborhoods would you suggest? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor recreation is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Baltimore about 5 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are established, gas is underrated.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. No regrets on my end..

I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The food scene is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Nashville about 10 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Close to major attractions
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are developing, gas is decent.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.
