How is Burbank for outdoor activities?

Hi all, Crime rate is something to consider -Burbank sits at 189.6 per 100K. With a population of 28,822, Burbank is a smaller city. Median household income is $83,975, which feels pretty solid for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,241 for rent here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. Would love some local perspective. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Baltimore it's better than expected.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely underrated and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Old Town) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Road conditions need improvement.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
