Cheapest neighborhoods in Burien?

Hi all, I'm a remote worker and Rent is about $1,742/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 7.5%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $90,597, which feels pretty solid for the area. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Anyone in a similar situation? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value weather, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely decent and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (North) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Chicago, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'm a physical therapist and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. The community is average and there's always something going on.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if pet-friendliness matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely average and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Springfield) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.
