Worst things about Burke nobody talks about

First post here. Household incomes average around $179,063 in Burke. Homes are going for about $696,800 on average. Median household income is $179,063, which feels pretty solid for the area. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.
