Honest thoughts on life in Burleson

With a population of 50,981, Burleson is a smaller city. Crime rate is something to consider -Burleson sits at 231.8 per 100K. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Is this normal for Burleson? I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from New York about 2 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Active local events and festivals
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Dating scene is rough
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are stable, gas is excellent.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Definitely worth checking out..
