Not sure if this has been asked before, but My partner and I are It's a a smaller city city with about 50,981 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Burleson sits at 231.8 per 100K. The city has invested a lot in new development. Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance! There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The community vibe is genuinely challenging and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (South) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.
