Biggest downsides of living in Burton?

Alright, The median home value here is around $131,200, which is actually reasonable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. Am I overthinking this?

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 6 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Moved here from LA about 11 years ago. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Still getting used to public transit but Happy to answer more specific questions..
