How much do you pay for rent in Burton?

Random thought, It's a a smaller city city with about 29,529 people. The unemployment rate is 4.8%, which is about average. Household incomes average around $57,767 in Burton. With a population of 29,529, Burton is a smaller city. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Diverse community
- Low taxes
- Easy commute

Cons:
- High property taxes
- Far from major airports
- Chain restaurants dominate
Am I wrong here? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely challenging and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Westside) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in Sunset for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong job market in several industries
- The outdoor recreation scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Good luck with whatever you decide..
