Biggest downsides of living in Butler?

Hello, I'm originally from Tampa and You can expect to pay around $772 for rent here. Poverty rate is 26.4%, which is higher than I expected. Rent is about $772/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 55--F, so the weather is moderate. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Miami it's solid.

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Meadowbrook. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Definitely worth checking out..
