Working in Butte-Silver Bow -salaries realistic?
I'm originally from Charlotte and Crime rate is something to consider -Butte-Silver Bow sits at 454.0 per 100K. Rent is about $808/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 40--F, so bundle up in winter. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What do you all think? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
