Rent in Buttonwillow getting crazy
What neighborhoods would you suggest? The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Oak Park. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in government. If you're in government you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..
