Should I move to Byron or stay in Seattle?

It's a a small town city with about 6,510 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Am I overthinking this? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, the quality of life is solid. Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Houston about 7 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Active local events and festivals
- Four distinct seasons
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Urban sprawl is real

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are affordable, gas is excellent.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. No regrets on my end..

I'm a data analyst and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is solid and there's always something going on.
