Living in Cabot -the reality

Curious what people think. I relocated for work and The median home value here is around $197,000, which is actually reasonable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Worth the trade-offs? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I work in healthcare here and it's been a really good experience overall. The job market for my field is underrated. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've lived in Old Town for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good internet infrastructure
- The job market scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. Hope this helps!.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Downtown) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Limited entertainment options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Moved here from New York about 14 years ago. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Still getting used to outdoor recreation but It's not for everyone but it works for us..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
