Thinking about relocating to Cabot from Orlando

Hey, I'm originally from San Francisco and Household incomes average around $72,656 in Cabot. Homes are going for about $197,000 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Cabot sits at 372.1 per 100K. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Worth the trade-offs? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

Used to live on the The Heights side, now on the Westside side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

I've lived in South for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The traffic scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely decent and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (The Heights) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Limited high-paying job options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
