Alright, I'm a remote worker and The median home value here is around $118,100, which is actually reasonable. The unemployment rate is 1.4%, which is pretty low. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What do you all think?

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Hope this helps!.

Came here for school and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The weather is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 5 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Phoenix about 7 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are manageable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from LA about 4 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Active local events and festivals
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from San Diego about 15 years ago. The main reasons were family and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are manageable, gas is challenging.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in North for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Four distinct seasons
- Diverse dining options
- The healthcare scene is average

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Feel free to reach out with questions..
