OK so Crime rate is something to consider -Caldwell sits at 350.4 per 100K. The median home value here is around $322,100, which seems about average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Houston it's average.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Old Town. It's underrated for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in government you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.
