What surprised you most about California City?

Hey, Crime rate is something to consider -California City sits at 579.7 per 100K. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Am I wrong here?

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. the quality of life is solid.
