Working in California City -salaries realistic?

Been meaning to ask this. My partner and I are The unemployment rate is 9.2%, which is concerning. Median household income is $55,271, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -California City sits at 579.7 per 100K. Homes are going for about $239,600 on average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I wrong here? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.
