Is California a good place to live?
Been meaning to ask this. The median home value here is around $337,900, which seems about average. Homes are going for about $337,900 on average. It's a a small town city with about 13,223 people. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Rising rent prices
- Sprawl everywhere
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Not enough green space
Thoughts? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to.
