What California does better than anywhere else

Hey, Is this normal for California? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to.

I work in real estate here and it exceeded my expectations. The job market for my field is pretty good. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I've lived in Springfield for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- The cultural scene scene is solid

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Miami about 14 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are manageable, gas is average.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Definitely worth checking out..

I'm a sales manager and I've found the quality of life is solid. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.
