California housing prices -when will it stop?

Hey everyone, Born and raised here. Poverty rate is 12.0%, which is around average. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. You can expect to pay around $792 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 6.8%, which is concerning. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Good job market
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons:
- Not very walkable
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Far from major airports
Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
