Things California Polytechnic State University needs to improve

Not sure if this has been asked before, but The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Does this match your experience? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Meadowbrook. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
