Best restaurants in Calimesa?

Hey everyone, I'm retired and It's a a small town city with about 10,680 people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Am I wrong here? TIA! People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Bought a house here in 2023 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights
- The housing market scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Winters are long and cold

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Came here for family and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The food scene is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Austin it's tough.
