Freelancing from Calipatria -experience?

Random thought, I'm a remote worker and The median home value here is around $172,900, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $172,900 on average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Is this normal for Calipatria? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Came here for retirement and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The nightlife is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
