Housing in Callaway compared to Raleigh

Random thought, I'm originally from St. Louis and Median household income is $69,388, which feels about average for the area. Rent is about $1,319/month for a decent place. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Should I be concerned? The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Used to live on the Meadowbrook side, now on the Maple Ridge side. Completely different vibe. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 4 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is school system. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
