Anyone regret moving to Callaway?

Hi all, Born and raised here. The median home value here is around $361,500, which seems about average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Am I overthinking this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Minneapolis about 13 years ago. The main reasons were school and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are competitive, gas is challenging.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. No regrets on my end..

Moved here from San Francisco about 6 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to outdoor recreation but Happy to answer more specific questions..

- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are competitive, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Good luck with whatever you decide..
