Best coffee shops in Calumet Park?

Hi all, Median household income is $57,389, which feels about average for the area. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. It's a a small town city with about 6,836 people. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Would love some local perspective. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from San Diego about 7 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Lots of new development happening
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. No regrets on my end..
