Anyone regret moving to Camanche Village?

OK so Does this match your experience? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a physical therapist, 40, moved here 3 years ago from Charlotte. I've lived in Midtown and Maple Ridge, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Good healthcare facilities
2. Good internet infrastructure
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally better than expected - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Nightlife is limited
2. Not very walkable outside downtown
3. The nightlife situation is developing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Midtown: Great for families. hit or miss vibes, walkable.
- Maple Ridge: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Charlotte, everything felt hit or miss. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are pricey. Gas is growing. You can live comfortably on $60K-$70K here.

**Final verdict:**
Would recommend to anyone considering it.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Highland. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in real estate. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Used to live on the Greenfield side, now on the Riverside side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The public transit is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if weather matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
