Commute times in Camano -how bad?

I grew up here but left for a while. Crime rate is something to consider -Camano sits at 210.1 per 100K. Rent is about $1,710/month for a decent place. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Any advice would be great. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 9 years ago. The main reasons were work and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Summers can be brutally hot

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is decent.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Good luck with whatever you decide..

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Uptown area are underrated. Kids love it here.
