How are the schools in Camano?

Hey, I'm a 25-year-old data analyst and Median household income is $100,124, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. It's a a small town city with about 17,535 people. The median home value here is around $600,300, which is pretty steep. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What do you all think? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

I work in hospitality here and it was the best decision I ever made. The job market for my field is pretty good. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Came here for cost of living and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The job market is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if pet-friendliness matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a writer, 50, moved here 6 years ago from Atlanta. I've lived in Pine Hills and Highland, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Good schools in most areas
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Affordable housing options
4. The people are generally decent - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Can feel isolated
2. Bugs and humidity in summer
3. The nightlife situation is pricey and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Pine Hills: Great for young professionals. average vibes, walkable.
- Highland: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Atlanta, everything felt tough. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are affordable. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $70K-$140K here.

**Final verdict:**
Happy to answer more specific questions.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely tough and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Midtown) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value nightlife, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely hit or miss and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Houston, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. the quality of life is solid.

Came here for weather and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The pet-friendliness is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
