Grocery stores in Camarillo -recommendations?

The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. What do you all think?

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 15 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (South) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Minneapolis about 8 years ago. The main reasons were work and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Affordable housing options
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Summers can be brutally hot

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are reasonable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Feel free to reach out with questions..
