Considering Camas vs Austin -help me decide

Hey, It's a a smaller city city with about 26,779 people. Average temperature is around 55--F, so expect cold winters. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What do you all think? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Cedar Grove. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
