Hi all, I'm a college student here and Household incomes average around $57,321 in Cambridge Springs. Median household income is $57,321, which feels about average for the area. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Thoughts? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value safety, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Oak Park) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in Midtown for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- The safety scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Public transit is pretty good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely excellent and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.
