What to expect moving to Camden?

OK so My partner and I are Household incomes average around $51,300 in Camden. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 8 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Highland area are improving. Kids love it here.

Bought a house here in 2022 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- The weather scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Hope this helps!.

Used to live on the Highland side, now on the East side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
