Hey, Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Used to live on the Springfield side, now on the The Heights side. Completely different vibe. the quality of life is solid.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.
I've been here 9 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.
