Should I move to Camden or stay in Seattle?
Hi all, I grew up here but left for a while. Crime rate is something to consider -Camden sits at 337.6 per 100K. Household incomes average around $40,450 in Camden. Poverty rate is 25.6%, which is higher than I expected. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
