Best coffee shops in Camden?

Been meaning to ask this. Rent is about $803/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $241,300, which is actually reasonable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I overthinking this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a contractor, 26, moved here 9 years ago from New York. I've lived in Eastside and Uptown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Decent public transit for the size
2. Lots of new development happening
3. Affordable housing options
4. The people are generally average - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Nightlife is limited
2. Bugs and humidity in summer
3. The cultural scene situation is stable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Eastside: Great for families. solid vibes, walkable.
- Uptown: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from New York, everything felt average. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are established. Gas is stable. You can live comfortably on $60K-$110K here.

**Final verdict:**
Hope this helps!. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Bought a house here in 2017 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone about the same since then.
