Honest thoughts on life in Cameron

Random thought, I'm a college student here and Poverty rate is 9.3%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Cameron sits at 330.8 per 100K. The city has invested a lot in new development. What neighborhoods would you suggest?

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Portland it's excellent.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Meadowbrook. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in real estate. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
