Best coffee shops in Cameron Park?

OK so Been living here since 2013. Median household income is $97,786, which feels pretty solid for the area. Average temperature is around 60--F, so the weather is moderate. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Fairview) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cost of living, then yeah this place is great. But if public transit matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Phoenix about 13 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are growing, gas is challenging.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.
