Cameron housing prices -when will it stop?

Hello, I'm retired and Crime rate is something to consider -Cameron sits at 180.8 per 100K. Homes are going for about $112,800 on average. The unemployment rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Nice parks and trails
- Good schools
- Close to nature
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Cold winters
- Sprawl everywhere
- Poor road conditions
What are your go-to spots? Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much growing but now it's solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Nashville about 6 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are established, gas is improving.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Feel free to reach out with questions..
